Unfortunately, I don't think you'll be able to "make this work". A gift certificate for a restaurant is pre-paid dining. Without proof that you have pre-paid, you will be expected to pay again.
Service was pleasant, if a little slow at lunchtime. Food was quite good but not as spicy as expected (we ordered 3 star spiciness of 4). Nice decor.
Great little spot! Good food and cute atmosphere! We'll be back!
Every time I come here I try a different menu item. It has been hard to not reorder what I've tried because it has all been so delicious. So thrilled to find this treasure of a place!
Amazing pad thai.
This is by far the best Thai food I have ever tasted. The server was friendly and professional. She was able to answer all of our questions and help make recommendations. The location was a little tricky to find but worth it. Stop by you won't be disappointed.
Great service and delicious food. Inside the mall is a unique experience
Amazing staff, however, their pad thai was greatly lacking flavor.
Amazing food, I look forward to coming back here next time I am in the area. The currys are very enjoyable.
I love Chandara House! They have excellent customer service and fantastic food.
Pretty underwhelmed. They inexplicably put short grain (roundish) sticky rice in my spicy basil fried rice. This is unlike any thai i've had in at least 6 states. I'm not sure if they were out of medium-grain typical rice, or what. I thought sticky rices were for desserts. It made my dinner chewy and dry. I did not order brown rice so that's not their excuse. My husband was likewise disappointed in the overdone noodles in his pad see ew.
Wonderful food. Friendly service. Would definitely come back. Peanut dressing on the salad is to die for. Everything tasted fresh and hand made.
So very tasty!!! Cant go wrong when you come here. Spring rolls were heavenly. Lunch specials are great and good price too. Our server is awesome as well.
We went to the Chandara House on Friday night for dinner. We were seated in a reasonable time and were served water and asked if we wanted any beverage for dinner. The beverage was delivered right away. The tables were full of guests only 2 tables were vacant. We were able to place our in a timely fashion. A delicious fresh salad was served next. Our order seemed to take longer than I expected. It appeared that the togo orders were a higher priority. The food we ordered was hot off the grill and delicious ! We will be going back.
Always nice, always good food. It's more of a quality, not as much quantity... that'sokay, enjoyable.
Great food, S L O W service. We arrived at 5:45 to have dinner before going to live theater next door. Despite asking 3x's if perhaps they had forgotten about us, our food was finally delivered to our table at 7 pm. Needless to say we were very hungry.
Staff is super friendly and the food is very good! Definitely one of the better Thai places I've been to!
Hands down best Thai food in lyndenSuper cute little spot it's goooooooood!
Fun atmosphere, great food, great staff
Amazing food, the real thing. Great atmosphere must see to believe. Fun, not your typical trappings of simulated aisan decorations.
Delighted to find this wonderful restaurant in Lynden. My wife and I both love Thai food and eat regularly eat here. Always a great experience.
Our family came in here to eat during the Northwest Washington Fair instead of having fair food. I ordered the pad Thai and my husband and kids ordered the chicken teriyaki. All of our food was absolutely amazing and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back to Lynden just for this food!
Good people, good food.
The service was very slow to get seated and then to get water. The fresh rolls as an appetizer was very good as was the peanut sauce. My entree of Tom Kha was tasty but the portion was much smaller than I am used to. It is a nice atmosphere by the canal in the Dutch Village.
To our taste was NOT authentic at all! Everything was too sweet, very little veggies in the pad see ew, ridiculously small amount of rice in in the sweet and sour. Service was good and fast.
Edit 4/9/18: Got the Pad Thai for takeout. It was awful. It tasted nothing like Pad Thai (more like sweet and sour sauce). Goji Bistro/Asian 1 in Bellingham have much better Pad Thai. Not sure what changed since my first visit, but I was disappointed. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our food came out quickly. My favorite dish was the Pad Thai. I'll be going back to try their other offerings!
Great place for take out or dine in. Reasonable prices. Delicious iced tea and coffee too.
SLOW service, unimpressive food. We were excited for Thai, the good reviews, and cute location, but this was a very disappointing experience. We had an appetizer and three entrees. It took 20 mins to receive our appetizer, and another 20 to receive our entrees, with no communication about a delay. The restaurant was not busy, we were there hours before closing, but it seemed like takeout orders were heading out the door constantly. The larb gai salad was somehow bland, but incredibly spicy despite asking for a 2 of 4. At a table of spicy food lovers we couldn't have more than a couple bites at a time. The pad kee mao, didn't have wide rice noodles, they were a thick mushy noodle, the dish was bland, and lacked any spice even though it was also ordered 2 of 4. The highlight of the meal was a glass noodle soup. The broth was flavorful, chicken was tasty, and the vegetables were colorful, and cooked well.
The staff at Chandara is always friendly and welcoming. Wait times are always reasonable, the prices are great, and the food is beyond delicious! I typically order the Panang Curry which is has always been my favorite but tonight decided to try the Pineapple Curry which I hadn’t seen on the menu before and I am so glad I did - definitely blew my expectations away and is now my new favorite! I highly recommend Chandara to anyone looking for quick, affordable, and delicious Thai food served by friendly waitstaff.
Great food. Good prices. Friendly staff. It's a incredible "hole in the wall".
Amazing food loved the atmosphere very relaxing
Good food and very quick
This is the only Thai food place in Lynden. The food is OK and hits the spot when you don’t want to travel to Bellingham. Portions aren’t huge and prices are pretty high for what you get. We’ve only ever done take out and it is usually a pretty long wait (30 minutes +) even when they’re not busy. They do delivery too which is really nice.
One of my favorite places! Love the panang curry and the phad thai
My favorite is their curry dishes and phat thai. The chicken satay is an amazing appetizer as well as their salad. If you haven't tried their mango and sticky rice you definitely should. The restaurant vibe almost feels like you back in Thailand. It is definitely one of our favorite date night destinations.
Excellent Food And Service.
Good food new owners who are working hard to establish themselves
There's not many places I give 5 stars. This place was good on so many levels. Service: Our waitress was sweet and nice. Food: Amazing, everything was delicious, full of flavor and lots to share! It's in a quite little building with fishes to see. We will definitely be coming back.
Great food, I had green Curry and house salad, was very good ,owner/ cook came out to take the order he was very nice
Wow, just wow! Hubs had Red Curry w/ chicken, I had Tom Kah. Both were OUTSTANDING!. 3* was more like 4*, but we didn't mind. Veggies we're crisp and fresh! Service was excellent, efficient and friendly, timing was spot on. Super cute bistro area that is clean and quaint. We will definitely be back.
Great authentic and fresh
Good experience for lunch here. Courteous and prompt service. Price for the quality of food is appropriate. Enjoyed their Tom Kha soup. :)
Great food, good price, unique well done setting. I'll be going here more when I can afford it.
Delicious food. Koi in the pond 😊.
Never eaten in. Always take out. Food is always excellent and staff is very curteus. Spring rolls always taste very fresh and are perfect with their peanut sauce.
With others who ordered and then explained all the different dishes and loved them all. I would go again.
Great place to eat!
Food was great. Loved that aspect But the service was terrible. It took 20 minutes just for our appetizer. The salads came out quickly, but the plates were left on our table and some were still there at the end of the meal. Sodas came from cans and empty cans were littered on the table for the duration of the meal. When the food finally came out, we were brought one plate to each person every couple of minutes. It took a total of 20 minutes for everyone to get their food. The first person to get their food was done eating before the last plate came out.
4 stars, but it fluctuates to 3 occasionally. The food is usually pretty darn good, almost full-on authentic Thai food... Which is pretty amazing for such a rural, little town. But the food can sometimes swing from outstanding to just decent. I'm not sure if it's different cooks that cause that or what... But still not a bad experience either way!
It is pretty good. Especially for Lynden.
Ok red curry at lunch time. Tofu just thrown in, not fried. Tastes like a good paste and coconut milk. Simple and pretty good
